After Being Bent by Reader
Chapter 92: Pt.1

"Alright, he won't dare harass you again," Murong Shi said as she put down the phone.

Immediately, Xu Chuanchuan rushed forward to inspect Murong Shi's neck and touch her thin, sexy lips. Then, she curiously asked, "How mysterious. How did you make your voice sound so much like a man?"

In response, Murong Shi looked down at Xu Chuanchuan and spoke in her low and androgynous voice, "Because I've been a man all this time. Haven't you noticed it?"

Xu Chuanchuan's expression stiffened. Then, her delicate eyebrows flickered as she looked at the protrusions on Murong Shi's chest, asking, "Why would a man have such large breasts?"

Putting on a wicked smile, Murong Shi said, "Those are fake. They're meant to trick you."

"..." Pushing Murong Shi away, Xu Chuanchuan clicked her tongue and said, "I don't want you anymore if you're a man."

Murong Shi faintly smiled at Xu Chuanchuan's comment. Then, she put on a serious face and said, "Now that I scared that man away, I think your mother will be calling you shortly afterward."

As Murong Shi expected, Mother Xu's call arrived ten minutes later. As soon as the call connected, Mother Xu got straight to the point and asked, "When did you get yourself a boyfriend? Why didn't you tell me about it during the day? Your form teacher called me just now and gave me an earful over it. How long have you been with that man already? Is he someone from your company? What does he do?"

Mother Xu said a bunch of things, her tone faintly irritated and anxious. Xu Chuanchuan immediately felt her head aching when she heard her mother's questions. However, she also knew that her mother must be in an awkward situation to be caught in the middle of this situation.

Fortunately, Xu Chuanchuan had already thought up an excuse, so she said, "I don't have a boyfriend. I have no intentions of dating anyone right now. I also don't have anything to talk to that man. I was worried that things would get awkward between us, so I just tricked him."

However, Mother Xu wasn't convinced by this excuse, and she continued, "Why did he say that a man answered the call, then? Why are you together with a man this late at night?"

Xu Chuanchuan turned to look at her beautiful "boyfriend" upon hearing her mother's questions. Then, she said with a straight face, "Our company is holding a dinner party tonight, so I had one of my male colleagues answer the call for me."

The excuse was flawless, and Mother Xu couldn't find anything wrong with it. Even so, she couldn't help but feel that her daughter's actions had been rash. "Your form teacher now thinks that we're messing with them. I don't think I can bring myself to face her when we meet in the future."

Xu Chuanchuan didn't think too much about the consequences of their actions before. After pondering over the matter for a bit, she said, "Then...I'll give that man a call later and explain the situation to him."

After ending the call with her mother, Xu Chuanchuan searched up her call history and called back the man's number. She also switched to speaker mode to let Murong Shi hear the conversation and ease her anxiety.

The busy tone rang for a long time before the call connected. Sighing in relief, Xu Chuanchuan said, "Hello, I'm Xu Chuanchuan. I'm sorry, my mother didn't mean to lie to you. It's all my fault for not telling her that I'm already dating someone. She's also anxious to find a partner for me, which is what led to this misunderstanding."

"So that's the case," the other party said, a hint of regret in his voice. "Since you already have a boyfriend, I won't bother you anymore."

With the "misunderstanding" finally resolved, Xu Chuanchuan put down and sighed in relief.

Seeing that her lover looked as if she had just fought a war, Murong Shi suggested, "Go take a shower if you're tired."

"Mhm."

When she returned to her room after taking a shower, she saw Murong Shi sitting on the bed and chatting with someone on her phone. Noticing the name on the chat window, Xu Chuanchuan asked, "Is Fang Qin back already?"

Making some room for Xu Chuanchuan to sit down, Murong Shi said, "She's still in Shanghai. A typhoon struck the place, so her flight got canceled."

Xu Chuanchuan had seen an article reporting on the typhoon today on Weibo, so she snuggled up beside Murong Shi and said, "Since she can't come back for the time being, I wonder if she will go find Ange?"

"You're worrying about others again," Murong Shi said, squeezing Xu Chuanchuan's moist and shaggy hair.

"Hey, it's not easy being a matchmaker," Xu Chuanchuan said, putting an arm around Murong Shi's waist. "Ange hasn't replied to any of my messages today. She didn't even respond to my invitations to write today. I wonder what she's busy with right now?"

The next moment, Murong Shi put her phone on the bedside table and sealed her lover's talkative little mouth.

"Achoo—" Ange let out a sneeze when the cat in her embrace swiped its furry tail across her nose.

Frightened, the cat jumped out of Ange's arms and skillfully opened the partially closed door with its paws. Then, it agilely ran out of the master bedroom.

"I've been looking for you. So this is where you went."

A sweet voice came through the gap of the door, reminding Ange that there was another person in this house.

A silhouette briefly flashed past the door gap, and Ange caught sight of a light-blue skirt fluttering by. However, when she perked up her ears to listen carefully, she only managed to hear the meows and barks of her pets.

The blue light of the computer reflected on Ange's pale face.

Ange had yet to write a single word today. The noises her four pets were making right now only made it even more difficult for her to calm her mind. So, she got up to close the door.

However, when Ange reached the door, she suddenly let out a cry of surprise when she met a pair of eyes through the door's gap.

The person outside the door was similarly given a fright. After retracting the hand holding the doorknob, Fang Qin stiffly smiled and said, "Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. I just wanted to close the door for you."

The first thing Ange noticed was the snowy-white cat in Fang Qin's arms. Next, she looked at the other party's nightgown. The nightgown was blue and opaque. The thin shoulder straps looked a little sexy, and they did nothing to hide Fang Qin's bony shoulders.

She's so thin.

After just one glance, Ange immediately recalled the bony texture she felt when Fang Qin embraced her. Feeling boiling blood rushing to her head, Ange turned her head away and said, "Have you showered?"

Fang Qin currently wore a nightgown and had let her hair down. A fragrant scent also diffused from her body. It was obvious that she had showered recently, yet Ange still asked the obvious.

While petting the lazy cat in her arms, Fang Qin said, "Yes. I saw that you were busy, so I decided to shower first."

Busy? I've been staring at my computer for half an hour without typing a single word.

Ange didn't follow up with Fang Qin's words. Instead, she opened the door and walked out of the room.

Making way for Ange, Fang Qin asked, "Are you going to shower?"

"No, I'm making a cup of coffee," Ange said as she made her way to the living room. Then, without shifting her line of sight, she asked, "Do you want one?"

Shaking her head, Fang Qin asked, "You're drinking coffee this late at night? Aren't you afraid that you can't sleep?"

"I usually go to bed at three or four o'clock."

Fang Qin fell into thought for a moment as she stared at the loose shirt covering Ange's back. Then, she said, "So that's why you always sleep until noon."

"Mhm." After grabbing a stick of instant coffee from the refrigerator, Ange made her way to the water dispenser. Throughout this process, she dared not look at Fang Qin even once.

"It's not good for girls to stay up late all the time."

"I know. You'll get old quickly if you do that," Fang Qin said with a carefree smile.

Fang Qin stared intently at Ange's face.

Upon taking a closer look, Fang Qin found that Ange's skin was surprisingly thin and void of any pores. Ange also had a very pale skin color, so pale that it gave off an unhealthy feeling. This was probably because Ange stayed cooped up in her home all year round. At this point, Ange's skin looked like that of a porcelain doll's, and Fang Qin felt that it would break at the slightest touch. Ange also had thin, pale lips and long eyelashes. Combined with her dull eyes, her face exuded a sense of indifference.

After a long time, Fang Qin said, "Your skin looks tender."

Ange's hands shook upon hearing Fang Qin's comment, nearly spilling some of the coffee powder onto the floor.

After gently letting down the cat in her arms, Fang Qin asked, "How old are you?"

After pouring the rest of the instant mix into the cup, Ange did not hurry to fill the cup with water. Instead, she turned around and jokingly asked, "Why? Are you trying to check my household registration?"

Fang Qin looked Ange in the eye and politely smiled, saying, "I'm just asking casually. You don't have to say it if you don't want to."

Ange's eyes flickered. Then, she turned away and said, "I'm younger than you."

"I'm 27."

Ange did not reciprocate by reporting her age as well. Instead, she began filling her cup with hot water while pretending to be calm and ignoring the penetrating gaze attempting to pierce through her back.

"Woof, woof—" Suddenly, Ritian came running into the kitchen and started rubbing its head against Ange's leg.

Ange's mind was somewhere else when Ritian assaulted her. Surprised by the sudden physical contact, her hand shook, and hot water splashed onto her hand.

Fang Qin's expression turned serious immediately, and she rushed forward to turn off the running water. Then, she asked in a concerned tone, "Are you alright?"

Ange's pale skin had turned red hot. After pushing Ritian away, she gritted her teeth in pain and shook her head. Sᴇaʀᴄh the N0ᴠᴇFɪre.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

"Hurry up and rinse it with cold water."

Ange endured the pain and ran to the bathroom. Fang Qin followed after Ange and helped her turn on the faucet. When Fang Qin saw the burn on Ange's right hand, a slight frown formed on her face. Then, she turned around and left.

Several seconds later, Ange saw Fang Qin bringing something into the bathroom. Puzzled, she asked, "What's with the soy sauce?"

Fang Qin grabbed Ange's wrist without hesitation.

Ange was momentarily stunned, and she instinctively retracted her hand.

Sensing Ange's resistance, Fang Qin quickly said, "I got scalded in the past. Applying some soy sauce will help with the pain."

Ange gave up on struggling.

Seeing this, Fang Qin turned off the faucet, poured some soy sauce into her palm, and grabbed Ange's injured hand. Then, she leaned forward and blew on the droplets of water stuck on Ange's hand.

When Ange saw Fang Qin's mouth nearing her, she thought the other party planned to kiss her, so she nervously retracted her fingers. However, when she felt Fang Qin's gentle breath hitting her hand, her heartbeat inadvertently accelerated.

Fang Qin did not notice Ange's abnormality. Instead, she fully concentrated her attention on applying soy sauce to the back of Ange's hand.

In the meantime, Ange shamelessly looked at the thin woman in front of her. She observed the other party's gentle actions and soft gaze. And when her eyes fell onto the woman's slightly curved lips, she couldn't help but fall into a trance...

"Do you feel better?" Fang Qin's soothing voice interrupted Ange's reverie.

After withdrawing her fluttering emotions, Ange nodded and thanked Fang Qin in an awkward tone.

"You're welcome," Fang Qin said with a smile. However, she still did not let go of Ange's hand.

Ange had also noticed this point but chose not to bring it up. Instead, after a slight pause, she asked, "When will you be leaving?"

Pretending to be surprised, Fang Qin asked, "Are you chasing me away?"

...Am I? Fang Qin was a little muddle-headed right now. Particularly, when she met with fang Qin's eyes, her brain would lose all rationality. "I'm just asking."

Fang Qin subconsciously rubbed Ange's wrist with her thumb. Then, she sullenly asked, "When do you hope for me to leave?"

"I..." Ange retracted her hand as if she was just scalded by boiling water. "How would I know?"

After saying so, Ange ran out of the cramped bathroom.

"What are you running for?" Fang Qin's confused voice came from behind.

However, instead of turning around, Ange ran even faster for fear that a certain someone would end up eating her tonight.
