Chapter 11 - Shocked Listeners!

Chapter 11: One Clan- Two Heavenly Prides! Shocked Listeners!

On the raised platform, Ning Chuan kept on narrating the tale of the Biography of the Heaven-Emperor with great eloquence and careful attention to detail. While he was engrossed in his storytelling, he couldn’t help but notice two people in the audience who were behaving rather strangely.

One of them stood at almost three meters tall, possessing a sturdy physique that radiated a fierce intensity from his eyes. The other, smaller in stature, was draped in a wide black robe that left his withered arms exposed. Despite their distinctness, none of the other listeners seemed to pay them any mind.

Ning Chuan’s novel had already gained immense popularity, attracting listeners from all corners of the land who travelled to Lin’an City specifically to experience his live storytelling. Hence, he was accustomed to encountering new faces.

Presently, these two were engaged in a hushed conversation.

“Iron Mountain, when are you planning to take action?” rasped the small, thinly-robed figure, known as Pang Du.

“No need to rush. Let’s finish hearing the story first,” Iron Mountain, his intense gaze fixed on the platform, responded gruffly. Sᴇaʀch* Thᴇ N0vᴇlFire(.)nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.

“You!” Pang Du bellowed.

Is this a visit intended for harm, or is it a journey for leisure? Seriously, when you’re planning to take someone’s life, do you really need to hear a commentary first?

Iron Mountain, on the other hand, paid him no attention whatsoever. He was completely engrossed in the storytelling.

……

As the story goes, these two individuals had been sent by Jiang Chenfeng to carry out an assassination on Ning Chuan. They had reached Lin’an City the night before. The original plan was for them to execute the mission on that very night, capitalising on the concealment offered by darkness and the wind. However, Iron Mountain had been adamant about comprehending their target thoroughly, aligning with the principle of understanding both oneself and the adversary for successful warfare. Hence, he had dedicated the night to immersing himself in Ning Chuan’s novel.

Pang Du initially found this reasoning sensible and allowed Iron Mountain to proceed. However, as Iron Mountain immersed himself in the narrative, the night slipped away, and dawn drew near. When Pang Du eventually realised the time, it had become too late to carry out the planned assassination.

The following morning, the two men entered the inn, aiming to identify another opportunity for the assassination.

“Iron Mountain, don’t put the blame on me if things go wrong. This Ning Chuan is the Duke’s designated target. If matters go awry, you’ll bear the consequences,” Pang Du hissed, launching a barrage of threatening words towards Iron Mountain.

Unbeknownst to Pang Du, Iron Mountain’s gaze remained fixed on the elevated platform, his impatience steadily mounting.

“Iron Mountain, are you still not taking action? The Duke entrusted you with this task, and you’re behaving like this? Remember when you lost your right arm and were abandoned by the Iron family, like a stray dog? Who took you in… Bang!!!”

Before Pang Du could conclude his angry speech, a massive hand clamped down on his head, slamming his face onto the table.

“Keep it down,” Iron Mountain grumbled, exerting pressure on Pang Du’s head.

“This isn’t a small-scale operation,” retorted Iron Mountain in a gruff voice.

Ning Chuan, on the high platform, raised an eyebrow, his attention drawn to the two of them.

“Is something amiss with you two?” he inquired.

The other listeners also shifted their gazes, annoyance evident in their expressions. If they wanted to fight, they should do so outside and not disturb the storytelling.

“Just fooling around, nothing serious…” Iron Mountain’s grip loosened, and he responded casually.

Ning Chuan nodded and resumed his narrative without further probing.

Pang Du, relieved of Iron Mountain’s grasp, seethed with frustration, glaring at Iron Mountain. For now, he dared not utter another word.

……

Back on the high platform, Ning Chuan cleared his throat and declared, “Let’s pick up where we left off!”

[“Earlier we mentioned that Shi Ziling and his wife went to the Hundred Clans Battlefield to look for the long-vanished Fifteenth Master.”

“And the little one, Shi Hao, was left in the care of Shi Yi’s mother, Yu, on her behalf.”

“Speaking of which, this Yu is no ordinary person.”

“This person comes from the Rain Clan of The Stone Kingdom, and the Rain Clan, is one of the great clans of the world.”

“If we talk about history, the Rain Clan is even more historic than the Stone Kingdom.”

“As the saying goes, the mother is noble by virtue of her son, this Yu origin is already extraordinary, and gave birth to Shi Yi, such a unicorn child, who can be said to be in King Wu’s Palace more like the sky.”

“Although she is arrogant, treating Shi Hao is not bad, after all, in her opinion, little Shi Hao, the future will become their own son Shi Yi, the right arm of the person.”

“Originally, life would go on like this day by day, year after year.”

“But until one day, the change happened.”

“After the great rise of Shi Yi’s double pupil talent, he discovered something extraordinary within little Shi Hao’s body, a heaven-defying occurrence!”

“If we only talk about the early stage, the effect of this thing does not be inferior to the ancient immortal pupil at all, even better a bit  than it!

“This thing is called the Supreme Immortal Bone!”

“The person who has this object can change his fate against the sky, and will definitely enter the Dao-Emperor Realm in the future!

“The little one, Shi Hao, is not a person with natural power at all, but a teenage supreme!”]

When Ning Chuan said this.

Bang!

In a flash, the entire inn was in an uproar.

Countless listeners instantly had their scalps tingling and their hearts and souls shaking wildly.

“Supreme Immortal Bone?Dao-Emperor Realm?”

“What? Little one Shi Hao is actually a Junior Supreme??”

“My God!!!”

In the entire inn, the pot exploded!

They didn’t expect that little bitty Shi Hao, who was originally thought to be just a dragonet.

Surprisingly, in an instant, he had turned into a teenage supreme with supreme bones.

Doesn’t this mean that Shi Hao’s talent potential is not even inferior to that of the Double Pupil, Shi Yi?

“Two Heavenly Pride in one clan! This is the real two heavenly pride of one clan!

“A person born with immortal pupils is a person with double pupils who was known as an invincible myth in ancient times! A person born with a supreme bone will inevitably become a supreme being in the future!”

“Hiss …… King Wu’s Palace, luck is simply heaven-defying!”

“I seem to have seen a corner of the future, see these two brothers ruling the world, invincible scene!”

“The King Wu’s Palace will flourish, and the Stone Kingdom will flourish!”

“The double pupil and the natural born supreme join hands …In a few days, they will be able to push through this great world!”

“I can’t imagine who else can stop the rise of these two!”

“This great world is destined to bow at the feet of these two brothers in the future!”

“Shi Yi and Shi Hao, the true twin stars! The true light of the ages!

Countless listeners were shocked and amazed.

They could not wait to see the two brothers join forces in the future and stir up the waves.
