Afterword

Thank you for purchasing the sixteenth volume of Realist Hero. This is Dojyomaru.

I only have one page this time, so I’ll skip the silliness.

This volume depicts the collapse and rebirth of the Empire. At the same time, it’s also the story of Maria being set free. Maria has been appearing since near the beginning, but the story needed to come this far before she could be freed from the heavy burdens she was carrying.

Ironically, it was only with the combination of an ally like Souma and an enemy like Fuuga that she was able to dismantle her country. She’s a year older than Juna, which puts her in her mid-twenties, but I’m sure she’s going to go all-out trying to make up for some of those youthful days she missed out on.

On top of that, Jeanne and Hakuya’s long-distance romance was able to find its resolution. It was a long one too... How many years has it been since readers following the web serialization started telling me they wanted to see the two of them happy together? I never expected it to take until volume sixteen. But that’s just how heavy of a burden the Euphoria sisters were carrying, I suppose.

Oh, there was no room for Trill, so she has to wait until next volume.

Until then, thank you to everyone who was involved with this book and all of you who purchased it. Sᴇaʀᴄh the ɴøvᴇl_Firᴇ.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of nøvels early and in the highest quality.
