Alexander was watching Tessa, as Lucinda returned with her hair fixed and changed into clean clothes.

“Mama!”

I smiled brightly and spread my arms to Lucinda. Lucinda hugged me tightly.

“Have you been a nice baby?”

“Uh-huh!”

“You’re not angry with me again?”

I didn’t mean to be angry. I was just upset.
